Jon McGregor, Gail Honeyman, Rebecca Stott winnen Costa Book Category Awards

De Costa Book Awards ('one of the UK's most prestigious and popular literary prizes and recognises some of the most enjoyable books of the year by writers based in the UK and Ireland') kennen een vijftal categorieën - First Novel, Novel, Biography, Poetry and Children's Book - met elk een winnaar, waaruit een jaarwinnaar wordt gekozen. De afgelopen jaren wonnen Sebastian Barry, Frances Hardinge, Helen MacDonald, Nathan Filer en Hilary Mantel de overall-prijs. 30 januari wordt het Costa Book of the Year bekendgemaakt.
