Nieuws: De Dalkey Archive Press met korting

Chicago, 1984. Dalkey Archive Press wordt opgericht als de uitgeverij van het literaire tijdschrift Review of Contemporary Fiction. De naam wordt ontleend aan Flann O'Briens The Dalkey Archive, de titelkeuze bepaald door wat aandacht voor minder gangbare titels, meestal fictie, meestal modernistisch of post-modernistisch. De uitgeverij 'place[s] a heavy emphasis upon fiction that belongs to the experimental tradition of Sterne, Joyce, Rabelais, Flann O'Brien, Beckett, Gertrude Stein and Djuna Barnes', en beoogt al haar uitgaven leverbaar te houden.
Dat oog voor goede literatuur en brede beschikbaarheid deelt Dalkey met Athenaeum, en daarom is deze zomer een selectie van de Dalkey-uitgaven goedkoper, met de pondenprijzen in euro's.
Bijvoorbeeld Anne Carsons Eros the Bittersweet en Gertrude Steins A Novel of Thank You, van € 11,50 voor € 9,95, of Charles Juliets Conversations with Samuel Beckett and Bram Van Velde van € 13,- voor € 10,95.
