Shaniqwa Jarvis, a hardback book at 160 pages features an introduction by photographer Ryan McGinley, delves into Jarvis’ photographic archive and combines editorial and personal work spanning two decades. Born in 1977, New York City, Shaniqwa Jarvis lives and works in Jersey City as a photographer known for combining a modern fashion aesthetic with sensitive and emotional portraiture. She captures vivid reality across a wide variety of subjects that always appear to be an extension of herself in images that speak to raw, disparate feelings imbued with a deep sparkling optimism.

Shaniqwa Jarvis is a meticulously curated selection that includes a few images from Jarvis' favorite personal series, such as 'Bathroom Portraits', shot in the toilets of bars in the early 2000s plus editorial work for clients like The GAP, The New York Times, Supreme, Billboard and Riposte.

Join us for a presentation, a book signing and some drinks at our store on the Spui, Amsterdam.
