Leesfragment: Puur goud

Een nieuw nummer van Bloom, het enige horticulturele tijdschrift op deze aardbol, is altijd een feestje. Uit de koker van Lidewij Edelkoort - de koning Midas van trendsettersland - komt dit langverwachte nummer 22 en het is wederom puur goud. Themaland Brazilië was misschien ooit gekozen met het oog op het wereldkampioenschap voetballen, maar de inhoud van dit tijdschrift reikt veel verder: we zien native Americans en modellen behangen met wonderlijke sieraden, bloemen, gigantische kralen en ijzeren kragen. Er is plantaardig en industrieel zwaar materiaal dat licht lijkt en vice versa.
