Frances Hardinges jeugdboek The Lie Tree is Costa Book of the Year 2015. Het is het eerste jeugdboek in lange tijd dat de overall prijs krijgt.

De Costa Book Awards ('one of the UK's most prestigious and popular literary prizes and recognises some of the most enjoyable books of the year by writers based in the UK and Ireland') kennen een vijftal categorieën - First Novel, Novel, Biography, Poetry and Children's Book - met elk een winnaar, waaruit een jaarwinnaar wordt gekozen. De afgelopen jaren wonnen Helen MacDonald, Nathan Filer en Hilary Mantel de overall-prijs.
