Costa Book Awards 2021 voor Caleb Azumah Nelson, Claire Fuller, John Preston, Hannah Lowe en Manjeet Mann

De Costa Book Awards ('one of the UK's most prestigious and popular literary prizes and recognises some of the most enjoyable books of the year by writers based in the UK and Ireland') kennen een vijftal categorieën - First Novel, Novel, Biography, Poetry and Children's Book - met elk een winnaar, waaruit een jaarwinnaar wordt gekozen. De afgelopen jaren wonnen Monique Roffey, Jack Fairweather, Bart Van Es (en niet Sally Rooney), Helen Dunmore, Sebastian Barry, Frances Hardinge, Helen MacDonald, Nathan Filer en Hilary Mantel de overall-prijs. 1 februari wordt het Costa Book of the Year bekendgemaakt.

De roman van Nelson is al in het Nederlands vertaald, die van Fuller verschijnt in mei.
