About PHILE

Phile Magazine is a publication that investigates sexuality and sexual subcultures from a sociological point of view. Bridging the formats between an academic journal, art publication and sex magazine, Phile seeks to understand how different communities express themselves sexually and why. By researching theories and practices of modern sexuality, Phile aims to gain insight into the complexities of human desires, and to further understand how members of sexual subcultures create space to explore their truest impulses.

Created by Michael Feswick and Erin Reznick, Phile ranges in themes with a strong intention to highlight a diversity of perspectives in sexuality, identity, ethnicity and religion. Phile can be found in sex stores, luxury retail boutiques, and modern art museums across the world, including Palais de Tokyo, MoMA PS1, Marciano Art Foundation and more.
